No, I'm not going to. Neither of those cities were mentioned among the world's best for robotics by people with credibility in the industry. Pittsburgh, Boston and San Francisco were, which is why I compared them, and salaries in Pittsburgh are proven to be competitive with salaries in both other cities after the differences in cost of living are factored in. End of discussion.
You know, it's funny! I lived there longer than Crazi, and I lived there as an adult, which he has not, as far as I can tell. I have family there and have had so consistently since the 1870s. My links to the salaries are very current. Tell me what's wrong with what I posted, instead of dumping on me, K?
Really strange that Pittsburgh beat out the Bay Area because of Uber's research on self-driving cars considering Google is also working on the same project.
Seems like another arbitrary article...
But Carnegie Melon. They're a world leader in robotics. The whole reason Uber set up their self-driving research center in Pittsburgh was just to be close to Carnegie Melon, share resources and poach talent.
Happy Memorial Day to you too! Methinks you doth protest too much!
BTW, try your calculator for Birmingham, AL or Los Alamos, NM. Post it.
Why? Those places don't matter at all to this discussion and are never compared to Pittsburgh.
