Given that everyone knows Chicago isn't a tourist or business center like NYC, and given that we have Census-verified population statistics, it's absurd to claim a city that is less of a tourist/business center and 1/3 the size somehow generates more tourists. There would be no logical reason for this.
Are you saying those numbers are made up?

No numbers have been presented, but yeah, if you present me with such numbers, I'm confident they're made up.

You can't have fewer tourists, and then claim to have more tourists, unless the numbers are being fudged in some manner. Given that there is no definition of tourist, pretty easy to do, especially because there is no common source for the data, so everyplace is using their own definition.

UAE,you sure you from Dallas sir ?

You get super emotional over anything L.A has over N.y.c lmao

Los Angeles is a world class metropolitan area sir,In it's entirety as L.A county is more populated than N.y.c 5 boroughs & honestly is 200 years behind N.y.c & London but caught up in a quick matter of time, So what's your problem with LA LA land ?

I visit N.y.c every other year due to family ties & i speak from experience, Most people o.t think Manhattan is N.y.c of 8 million people & i did also until my Aunties told me it's all boroughs combined as 1 city. But sure Nyc is number 1 in most categories & rightfully so,It's been around way longer than Los Angeles & reached it's peak decades ago.I think your just upset at the comparison between the two & if you are from Texas i can understand your bias agsinst California's biggest city,It hosted the Olympics twice and the only u.s city to have accomplished such a feat,Hosted the 1st super bowl,in the 20s had the largest railroad system in the world, is the most unique city in it's mountains & palm tree scenery, Has more to do than Nyc on a larger scale because it's way bigger in land size,Outside of Midtown Manhattan what's the next exciting area to visit, In L.A there's at least 7 or 8 city centers,Nyc had it's time at the top so what's the issue here in Los Angeles being number 1 sometimes?

Average price for a home in the NYC metro area is $449,000. Average price for a home in the LA metro area is $351,000.

Better write the Chicago Tribune and tell them their numbers are fudged.

How far off do you think they are? Just curious what your opinion is on this factual figure.

Um, your link shows no such data. Did you post the wrong link or something?

How are we supposed to judge relative numbers of tourists? Just guess?

What does this question even mean? Who is "they"? "Far off" from what? We don't even know what is being measured.

Your link doesn't even show what you claim it shows. It only shows a number for one city, doesn't give the numbers for any other city, and shows the source as the local tourist bureau.

How do you expect us to compare this set of numbers with other numbers, when we don't have any other numbers, and the source is only concerned with one city?

Least affordable borough in NYC is the Bronx. Doesn't mean it's the most desirable borough. Just means it has the most difficult income to housing cost ratio.

Is there anyone on earth who seriously believes that Frankfurt has twice as many millionaires as LA? There are about 6x as many people in the LA metro compared to Frankfurt, and much higher income inequality (so far more extreme wealth and poverty). There is no possible way that Frankfurt has twice the millionaires as LA.

I don't even think it would be possible for Frankfurt to have 25% of LA's millionaires. It isn't even the richest city in Germany, and has around 600k in the city and a few million in the metro.
One city alone was a reason to DENY ALL? I'd just like to know if she thinks NYC is WAY OFF????? Her Favorite.
