Which one is better to live in, and why?

Vote in terms of:

- Weather
- Things to do
- Surrounding areas

And whatever else you want to add.

Personally I'd go for Las Vegas. I don't like the humid weather of Florida. I also like the following things about Las Vegas:

1. Over 300 days of sunshine every year
2. World class sights within a few hour drive
3. You can live secluded in a quiet residential neighborhood and still be at the Strip in 15 minutes.
4. The Strip offers some of the best nightlife, restaurants and entertainment in all of North America.
5. And you can do it all on a budget

What do you think?

I would choose Miami over Vegas. One, I dont care for the las vegas vibe and offerings and I am not really interested in nightlife, even though miami has plunty as well. The only thing it has better for me is surrounding areas. It would be possible to drive to Cali, AZ and many other states for trips which would be a big plus as Miami FL is water locked.

Miami still has many destinations closeby as well. Orlando, key west, everglades, gulf coast a short drive and of course all the beautiful beaches. Miami has about anything you need as far as dining and shopping as well. climate wise, yes its hot and humid but its what i prefer over dry. The climate for sure isnt for everyone.

Miami is a bona fide city! Las Vegas is "Disney World" for adults.

Overall to live in Vegas. Miami is great in the Winter and Spring, Summer is very humid and hot and fall is hurricane season.

Both offer lots of amenities and endless things to do. In Vegas you get hotter summers but more tolerable rest of the year.

Miami is for sure more urban and dense vs Vegas which more midsize suburban setting with lots of outdoor activities.

Miami is close to Ft Lauderdale, The Keys, Caribbean , Orlando. Vegas is not far from Lake Tahoe, LA, Phoenix, San Diego.

Both offer a great music scene, dining , shopping, and plenty of things to do it really depends what exactly it is you're looking for.

Miami probably has more crime outside it's main areas / upscale areas wheras Vegas is more well kept outside of the strip.

With the exception of Los Angeles which is a major plus, Las Vegas is quite isolated. The Reno/Lake Tahoe area is roughly 7 hours driving up U.S. 95. The Bay Area is over 9 hours. Phoenix is close to 7 hours.

I can't comment on Miami since I haven't been there. Las Vegas outside the strip and the small cluster of Casinos in old downtown Las Vegas looks like a Fresno. Flat grid city with a bit of grit in some locations heading north from the strip.

Honestly you couldn't pay me to go to either place.
Both are tacky & filled with the kind of
low lifes I avoid IRL.

Yeah Vegas is 24/7 but Miami has South beach and it's probably the best beach in America but like i said it's a toss up, Im leaning towards Vegas cause it's like N.y & L.A rolled into one far as the strip go but than Miami is like a tropical island vibe & downtown Miami is better than Downtown Vegas .Still i can't pick.
