Very cool! In the beginning, Boston & San Francisco were the major tech hubs of America...as we all know, Boston lost that battle. For a long time it was #2 in the nation, but it has been fading for about 20 years until quite recently where there has been a pointed effort to rejuvenate the scene in the area. I'm glad to see that effort is paying off.

But Seattle has startups like ExtraHop, Redfin, Chef, and Apptio that could be the next $5 billion mkt cap companies. And three of those four are enterprise software, where NY is exceptionally weak in terms of venture-funded startups.
