Bow Mar, Colorado is one of the wealthiest areas of metro Denver, while Sheridan is likely the poorest city in the state of Colorado. They are about half a mile away.

Oddly, Sheridan has a very low violent crime rate. Robbery rate is 1/3rd of the national average and violent crime rates are just over 1/2 the national average based on 2014 numbers. This is due to the fact the small city has a huge commercial tax base and amount of sales tax revenue.

They have 27 police officers and the city is only 5,000 people thanks to the high retail tax base which is a higher rate then NYC per-capita.

Glendale, Colorado with 1960s, small apartments next to Cherry Creek neighborhood in Denver with it's multi-million dollar homes.

Englewood, Colorado which is lower-middle class with it's fair share of mid-20th century run-down, outdated apartments is right next to Cherry Hills, Colorado which basically massive mansions on huge lots.

Broadmoor in Colorado Springs which is a very wealthy enclave with one of the largest resorts in the country is next to Stratmoor which a neighborhood of tiny homes for mid 20th century and subsidized housing.

Midvale, Utah is a high poverty and violent crime rate suburb of Salt Lake City is right next to Cottonwood Heights which is a suburb that lots of million dollar plus houses.

The west-side of Ogden, Utah is an extremely run-down area next to West Haven, Utah which is McMansions on large lots.
