What did Houston do recently about LGBT discrimination? You know the answer. It is very conservative, and lol at people trying to say that anywhere in Texas isn't conservative. Even Austin when compared to northeast US cities is conservative.

Very conservative? Don't think thats it. It is very libertarian. People don't like being told how to run their businesses. For better or worse thats it.

Austin and Dallas are genuinely liberal given the policies implemented in those cities.

Atlanta is NOT conservative.

But what does it really matter to say Atlanta is not conservative, when it is sitting in a state that is awaiting the signature of Nathan Deal on religious "liberty"?

Oh lord...

So, being in a state that's not generally liberal some how diminishes or discounts Atlanta being liberal itself?

Same with the Texas cities.

The main city in a metro area is usually much more racially diverse and has a higher percentage of poor people than the suburbs and usually votes democratic.

Where as the the vast majority of suburbs thru out the nation are middle class to upper middle class and are usually more than 90 % white and usually votes Republican..

Would the governor still have vetoed this discriminatory bill if there wasn't very media-fueled outrage and threats from major corporations that do business in the state to leave and never come back?
