With three NFL teams vying for a piece of action in the L.A. market, someone is getting left out as the NFL has said they do not see the market supporting three teams. With all three owners already exhausting local resources/revenues for a new stadium, it opens up the possibility that whichever team cannot make an arrangement in L.A. work will have to relocate elsewhere. Where do you think the discarded L.A. team lands?
If I had to take a stab at it, this game of musical chairs between the San Diego Chargers, Saint Louis Rams, and Oakland Raiders is going to end in an ugly way for two of those three fanbases.
The San Diego Chargers are more than likely going to stay in San Diego. The city is pretty serious about keeping them and in the current NFL, team owners must exercise, exhaust, and extract all resources possible to remain in their current market before jumping ship to another one. There will probably be some road bumps as this situation continues to develop, remember you have to finance a stadium and get all parties on board with it, but I feel this will be ultimately resolved and that San Diego is secure to remain an NFL market for the future term.
Saint Louis is more complex. Stan Kroenke's Inglewood Stadium plan is the furthest along of any project to bring the NFL to Los Angeles but this route means the Los Angeles market will more than likely end up with only one team despite having a stadium capable of hosting two home teams. I doubt Los Angelenos would mind or even care if they didn't get a second team or not, they probably want one regardless and will embrace that. Kroenke, going by reports, largely doesn't give a flying eff about his hometown Saint Louis and keeping the Rams there, he wants to be in the FAR more lucrative media market. He outright doesn't care about their on the river stadium proposal in Saint Louis and hasn't spent much time entertaining the idea of remaining there for that vision to take place. He's pretty far ahead in his Inglewood plans and all signs point to the Rams moving back to Los Angeles and leaving the Saint Louis market.
The Oakland Raiders are an example of what happens when you play a game of musical chairs with three people but only have two seats. They more than likely will not remain in the San Francisco Bay Area, regardless of who Oakland hires and promotes in their papers is going to save the Raiders from leaving - they are leaving Oakland, whether its to Santa Clara temporarily, or another market altogether remains to be seen but they are gone. Without the partnership of Spanos, the Carson project is not feasible for the Raiders Organization and they know that, they're also not savvy enough to have the networks or financial support to do anything. I don't know where they would go but Oakland's on the hook for the O.co Colosseum already as it is, they don't have the money to fund a new stadium and wont entertain the idea of tax payer support and draining their wallets even more. They're gone. Probably somewhere with a suitable stadium, either for temporary purposes or longterm until they can feasibly handle their own stadium situation.

Let's make sure that an LA team is actually happening first. Until that happens, the rest is moot.
The City of Carson said there's no money in the plan.
I think the Rams have the biggest shot in moving back because Stan Kroenke (owner of the Rams) owns the land under Hollywood Park, but for now even that seems in limbo.
I have a feeling that if LA does get a team back, it'll be 1.
Nothing changes other than the Rams moving back to LA. Doesn't really affect the NFCW in fact, it actually makes it more cohesive.
Charges stay put.
Raiders are an interesting case, it won't be immediate but I see a city like OKC or San Antonio maybe make a push for them as the floor seems to have been lifted from the Raiders.
- Rams leave for Inglewood.
- Chargers find a way (last minute) to stay in San Diego
- Raiders flip flop on decision to either stay in Oakland (depending on if A's stay), move to L.A., or San Antonio.
... are there really THIS many people voting for London? Seriously?

sorry, I never know when I'm supposed to take these seriously or not...they should include that disclaimer somewhere

You've never seen a CD poll? People rarely even read what the question is anymore. They just vote for whatever city they like the most.
