Cincinnati or St. Louis
These two cities are similar in some respects (river cities with lots of character but a fair amount of urban decline). I'll go with Cincinnati - it's the more scenic city with its hilly terrain.

Lexington, KY or Knoxville TN

Salt Lake City. Close to the mountains, better public transit.

Fairbanks or Juneau?

Juneau looks more scenic, and is the state capital (I like seats of government). Less extreme weather, too, though a bit rainy.

St. Louis or Memphis?

No, that's Nashville. Memphis is the home of rock 'n roll and blues.

Philly or Baltimore?
Baltimore, specifically the southern suburbs. Closer to DC which I prefer over Philly.

Minneapolis or Austin?

Austin - Not really sure Minneapolis has enough advantages to overcome that brutal winter for me.

Myrtle Beach, SC or Panama City, FL?
