Fredericksburg, TX

Know someone that said they did not like Augusta, GA when they were on a vacation. Fredericksburg is 75 miles from Austin and 70 miles from San Antonio. German themed town in the scenic hill country.

Louisville, Kentucky or Memphis, Tennessee ?

Keeps me closer to Sacramento, the Bay Area, and Monterey County where I know people and am familiar with cities, events, etc. Even though SLC is probably a slightly better city. Being a non-Mormon also factors in a little. Don't gamble too much and set a limit when I do, so Reno's casinos won't drain my wallet. Lol. Have visited both areas: SLC & Park City in 1991 and Reno a few times.

Fresno, California or Redding, California ?

Odessa, TX

Odessa is four times larger, so it probably offers more.

Lincoln, Nebraska or Madison, Wisconsin ?

(Useless, but fun trivia: Their two college football teams, the Cornhuskers and Badgers, are playing today in Madison).

Madison. Great town with that beautiful lake in the middle.

Colorado Springs, CO or Burlington, VT?

Colorado Springs, CO

Burlington/Lake Champlain are beautiful, but Colorado Springs, at least on the west side, is beautiful too (Garden of The Gods Park, Manitou Springs, train rides to Pikes Peak). A friend I have known since high school lives there. Have visited twice, in 1995 and 2011, so am reasonably familiar. Would enjoy college football at Air Force stadium and Sky Sox baseball games. CS probably is a more transplant friendly city. Just an educated guess.

Here is another one between two cities whose college football teams are playing today in San Jose...Spartans vs. Rebels.

San Jose, California or Las Vegas, Nevada ?

Good observations on Burlington/CO Spr.

I really wouldn't want to live in San Jose or Las Vegas. I'll go with Vegas since I'd be more likely to afford a home there.

Charlottesville, VA or Bosie, ID?
