Denver. Has so much more of what I would look for in a metro area. I like the climate better.

Washington, DC (MD/VA) or Seattle/Tacoma, WA?

Close one. I'll go with LA. Both are pretty congested and expensive, but LA has the better climate.

Raleigh, NC or Portland, OR?

Raleigh. I love NC, weather is nicer, and Raleigh's buying power (wages vs. COL) is better than Portland's.

Natchez, MS

Can take a steamboat ride on Mississippi River to New Orleans from there. Within easier reach of more major cities from there. Probably decent COL in both areas.
