I'd go with Charlotte. Less ghetto, better weather, closer to a nice beach, etc.

Tallahassee, FL or San Bernardino, CA

San Bernardino, because of proximity to Los Angeles, San Diego, Santa Barbara, Joshua Tree, Mexico, etc., etc., etc.

Wisconsin Dell's, WI

I know several people in both Wisconsin and Minnesota. Familiar with that region as I grew up there and have made some visits. The region is blessed with abundant lakes, forests and probably the nation's best cheese. Could easily reach Chicago, Milwaukee, Madison, the Twin Cities, and Duluth from there for getaways. Probably a lower COL than Atlantic City. AC would probably be more exciting for the first few months, but would pick WD for the long haul.

Lodi, CA or Paso Robles, CA?

Paso Robles easily. It's coastal, and surrounded by a more beautiful landscape.

This is a good one. I've spent a great deal in both, and love them both. I have to say Savannah, though; to me it's just a more 'user-friendly' town...and I love the squares.

Alpine, NJ or New Canaan, CT(Battle of the Stepfords)?
