Temecula CA or Gilbert AZ?
Temecula, CA

Both get summer heat, but Gilbert is worse. Plus I can escape Temecula's heat on weekends with an easy drive to the coast. Like that there is a small wine region nearby, too. Like San Diego area better than Phoenix area and also know two couples in SD suburbs.

Back to the one we skipped:

Flagstaff, AZ or Bend, OR ?

Dover, because of the proximity to NYC, Philly, and DC.
Hialeah, FL vs Hawaiian Gardens, CA

Better weather. Closer to people I know in CA. Don't know anyone in FL. San Diego is reasonably close for weekend getaways.

San Mateo, CA or Scottsdale, AZ ?

Chicago, a more manageable and cheaper city to live in.

Aurora, CO or Cary, NC?

Aurora, CO

Like the Denver metro area. Visited in 2011. Have not been to NC, but think I would like it, too. Is greener than CO. Have a longtime, close friend not too far away in Colorado Springs. Don't know anyone in NC. All four major league pro sports are in Denver plus Red Rocks Ampitheater & the Rocky Mountains nearby. Less humidity in summer. Much shorter, easier flights for visits to CA from CO than from NC.

Charlotte, NC or Tucson, AZ ?
