I prefer Wilmington over Galveston, but Galveston is right by Houston whereas Wilmington is 2hrs from Raleigh. I'll go with Galveston since it's proximity to Houston would probably be better for jobs, & allow city opportunities and the beach life.
Oakland, CA or Jersey City, NJ?
Oakland, CA
Am much more familiar with the Bay Area. Currently live about 2 hours south of Oakland. Have family & friends nearby in San Jose, Pleasanton & Sacramento. Oakland has better weather than Jersey City and has also made progress/improvements as a city in recent years.
Another CA vs. NJ choice:
Oceanside, CA or Toms River, NJ ?

San Diego. Closer to the beach and the mountains. Plus LA is 2 hrs away if I want to visit another city. However Atlanta if I couldn't afford San Diego.

Also Huntsville, AL over Tuscaloosa
Barrow, AK or Nome, AK?
Both of these are in AK. Barrow sounds colder. I'll go with Nome.
Chattanooga, TN or Boise, ID?
