Williamsport, PA

Williamsport is historically significant and at one time was a major center of wealth and industry which present day contributes to its architecturally interesting and valuable neighborhoods; i.e "Millionaire's Row".

It is also the gateway to the northern tier of Pennsylvania, with its lush and mountainous terrain.

TX is too isolated for me.

Trenton, NJ or Bethlehem, PA

Definitely Bethlehem for its history and culture...another 'hidden gem'.

Truro, MA or Pacific Grove, CA?

Truro, MA. I simply prefer the East Coast.

Springfield, MO or Little Rock, AR?

Springfield, MO. Not any real reasons, it's more to the north and it has a bit smaller population. Both pluses for me.

St Cloud, MN vs Fargo, ND.

St. Cloud, MN

Close call. Being closer to the Twin Cities and Duluth gives St. Cloud the edge IMO. From a city proper/metro amenities comparison, I would rate them about even. I think Fargo gets more windy weather.

Incline Village, NV or Coeur D'Alene, ID?

St. Cloud would probably be the more likely option due to proximity to Minneapolis, but Fargo is twice the size, so if we are choosing based on just the cities (and not proximity to another city), then Fargo.

Jacksonville or Tampa?

Tampa

Would not like the summers in either city. Have heard more good things about Tampa recently and especially nearby St. Petersburg. Larger metro with more to do. Have heard mixed reviews for Jacksonville. Being near St. Augustine is a plus IMO.

Las Vegas

Miami would be more interesting for the first few months IMO, but chose Las Vegas mainly because it is reasonably close to people I know in California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico and Colorado. Don't know anyone in or near Florida. LV's food/restaurant scene has improved significantly. There is also no state income tax. With the exception of the LV casino strip, there is less traffic than Miami. They have an NHL hockey team now and the NFL Raiders will play there in two years. Lake Mead and Mt. Charleston are nearby. Both cities have miserable summers IMO.

Orlando, FL or Reno, NV?
