In terms of cucina frontera, I'd give Albuquerque the nod over El Paso; it seemed to me on my one visit that the New Mexican version of this was better than the El Paso version despite the latter being right across the river from Juarez.

On the other hand, El Paso is right across the river from Juarez, which means you can cross the border to get even better cucina frontera any time you want. And the mountains come right into the middle of the city, while the outskirts of Albuquerque only bump up against the foothills.

So I'll pick El Paso.

Newark, N.J., or Oakland, Calif.?
Oakland. Has been getting better revitalization lately & I feel that the SF-Oakland relationship is better than the NYC-Newark one. Plus I want to explore the Bay Area more as I already live in the NYC Metro Area.

Ithaca, NY or State College, PA?

Ithaca, NY or State College, PA?
Ithaca. I prefer the region overall. Plus there's better women's hockey up there.

Orange, CA or Grey, GA?

Cleveland. Nothing against Milwaukee, but I've always liked Cleveland. Like that it's closer to the East Coast too.

Spokane, WA or Asheville, NC?

Spokane. Asheville is overrated.

Fresno. A bigger city with more offerings, and close enough to San Francisco to take occasional weekend road trips there.

Santa Barbara, CA or Cape Cod, MA?

Santa Barbara, I prefer it's vibe & proximity to LA. Plus better weather imo.

Metairie, LA or Spring Valley, NV?

Metairie. It's a suburb of New Orleans. I'd rather gambol there than gamble in Vegas.

Springfield, Ill., or Springfield, Mo.?

Tough one. Neither place seems particularly interesting. I choose Springfield, IL because it's more prosperous and less redneck.

Plattsburgh, NY or Bangor, ME?

Bangor. Beautiful area. Not far from the ocean.

Harrisburg, PA or Tulsa, OK?
