Amarillo. I've been there. Pretty good area. Would think its QOL would be better.

Greenville, SC or Madison, WI?

Someone read the post about moving from the U.K. Madison. Though I hear Greenville is a lovely town.

Athens, GA or Athens, OH?

Athens, GA... Larger, warmer, more diverse, has more going in the city beyond its university presence, and I like its relative proximity to Atlanta.

Pikeville, KY or Booneville, MS?

Pikeville, KY. It is a scenic area with rich history and culture. The University of Pikeville is a great school as well.

Murfreesboro, TN or Dayton, OH?

Murfreesboro, close to Nashville and Dayton's got issues.

Baltimore, MD or Salt Lake City, UT?

Baltimore. Skiing never has appealed to me, and while I hear that Salt Lake has a surprisingly lively LGBT scene, I'd still rather be in an older Eastern city with character.

Didn't know about that place in Mississippi, so:

Booneville, Miss., or Boonville, Mo.? (Despite the difference in spelling, I think they're named for the same person.)

I think I would love Booneville, MS's proximity to Memphis but I see myself enjoying both.

Nashville, TN or Austin, TX?

Austin. More central location, better-looking hills (the hills are actually bigger than Nashville's), and closer to the Gulf.

Irvine, CA or Markham, Ontario? (other than the weather)

Markham. Yes, I'd like its weather better, but I'd also prefer the location and probably culture. Tough choice considering I'm American through and through, but I just can't see myself living in CA. Interesting matchup.

Jacksonville, FL or Mobile, AL?
