Edit: Tiptonville, it's closer to a bigger metro, Memphis. Both look nice. ^
Sacramento. Madison is beautiful during the summer, but winter is just too long in Wisconsin. Sacramento's honestly not that bad, and not as expensive as coastal parts of the state while still having a mild enough climate that palm trees can grow.
Chokoloskee, Florida or Douglas, Arizona?
That's a tough one. 99% of the time I'd pick Arizona, but I'm going to go with Chokoloskee because it's relatively close to Ft. Myers and Miami. Douglass is only close to Tucson (still 2 hours) and I've heard not so great things about Tucson. Also doesn't help that it's right on the Mexican/US border.

Brattleboro, VT vs. Santa Claus, IN
Brattleboro, it's got a cute downtown, and a fun brewery with a nice deck overlooking the Connecticut River. Good vibe there. I couldn't live in Indiana, and definitely not a them park town.
Pensacola, because it's on the water. Baton Rouge is less than 4 hours away, same with New Orleans.
Maywood, IL or Homestead, FL?
Homestead... both cities seem to have their share of issues but since Homestead is larger, I'm sure it has more nicer areas. It's proximity to the Keys for getaways is a nice plus and the thought of warm winters is attractive too.
Sugar Land. It's closer to Austin ,the Beach and New Orleans. Houston is probably more diverse than Dallas- Would have much better winters as well.
Muncie, IN vs. Dekalb, IL
