St Louis. I'll always default to the Midwest legacy cities if given the option. Nashville is alright and all but it's too new and sprawl-y for me. Plus despite it's urbanity, I'm not down with country music/culture (I know that's not all there is there) or the bible belt.
Austin or New Orleans?
Austin, better job scene, & especially in the tech industry. Also better growth as of right now. I'd rather visit New Orleans though.
Oooo this is a difficult choice. My wife and I go back and forth on which of these would be our second choice to live in the US (NYC is #1). I think we both slightly prefer SF so that's what I'll pick, but it really is a razor thin margin.

Boise vs Burlington, VT
Burlington. Cool little city, love New England, don't have to worry about running into white nationalists in the surrounding countryside (at least not from what I understand about Vermont vs. Idaho).

Lexington, Mo., or Lexington, Mass.?
Lexington, MA..very nice, but also very, very expensive.
Richmond because it had a historic urban core and is close to DC and the NE corridor and relatively close to both mountains and ocean.
Ithaca, NY or Charlottesville, VA?
Ithaca,NY. Vermont isn't too far away.
Tampa, FL or New Orleans,LA?
