Feel free to explain your rankings if you want. Excluded NYC and chicago because those were the top two most common answers I've always gotten.

Hum . . . in no particular order, DC, Houston, SF (the whole region including Santa Cruz), St. Louis (hidden gem, particularly great to visit with kids), LA.

I'll also exclude Boston since I live there (it would be in my top 5, otherwise).

1) San Francisco
2) Washington DC
3) Seattle

DC, Boston, San Francisco. Pittsburgh gets an honorable mention.

I should probably take a trip to Seattle. I have a feeling it would become one of my favorites.
