Oakland was also ranked 100 most dangerous city out of 100.

Jajaja poor babies. Theyve been reduced to picking on Oakland because this entire thread is an avalanche of evidence thrashing the hilarious notion that LA is more prestigious than SF. Not in this universe. Sorry.

And they have nothing else to say so now their lives and egos depend on talking about Oakland?

Pathetic much?

rotfflmao

Sf was ranked 91 out of 100 insecure boy.

LA was 14.

Most sane people would value their safety over % of people with college degrees.

Who csres about that in real life?

Do you talk to yourself as you walk the streets with these boring statistics?

Or do you bring them up at parties?

But why then would more people with college degrees want to live in Oakland over LA? And why does Oakland have a higher percentage of wealthy households than LA if people were so scared? And why is Oakland more affluent if it is supposedly way worse?

Answer: Because Oakland is actually a better place to live than Los Angeles, to be honest. This is the Bay Area and Oakland is in the heart of it. Living in Oakland puts you next to the best urban environment in the west which is a short subway ride away, the best food in the west, the best job opportunities in the west etc.

Oakland has views, hills, beautiful weather, affluent neighborhoods. Yes there is crime and yes there are other problems, but it's still better than LA.

LA's massive sprawl of ghetto/ trashy from Downtown and radiating out in all directions is much less desirable than Oakland.

Sorry, but it's no contest, 400,000 hoodrats is easier to live with than 4 Million hoodrats.

I mean really, what a bizarre tangent.

"We cant beat San Francisco so now let's gang up on Oakland".

Is that an example of LA Prestige? lmao.

Sf is 91.

LA is 14

I'll take the safe place. Safety is always better than the dumb stats you throw up.

Nobody talks about this in every day life.

People do talk about crime.
