Anyway, the correct answer is DC, before this thread devolved into a California pissing match. Nothing posted has dissuaded my opinion on this, and I don't view this poll as accurate in the slightest. If MDAllstar or another DC poster was as vigilant as Monty, I'm sure endless stats about embassies and the like would begin to persuade people to reality.
Thank god they are not...

I'm quite glad DC posters are above that, if they ever wanna be taken seriously by any respectable people that's the right approach.

It's quite pitiful really with these California posters. They go on and on with this type of ridiculously silly arguments with all the bashing and sausage measuring contests, thinking they will "win" or something as long as they have the last word. How juvenile and sad really. All this stuff is doing is showing how insecure they really are.

No, actually it's you who resents the fact that no one is impressed. Yawns.

Exactly. The same vague 'celebrities therefore its LA' gibberish and a map of moving jets now shown 4 times.

As usual, you guys are comparing your little breadcrumbs to a a subastantially better off area that is far more sophisticated and posh.

Im still waiting for an explanation for this shameful stat:

Median Family Income with Children Under 18 Years of Age, 2014:
San Francisco-Oakland Urban Area $100,842
Los Angeles City $45,096

Similarly sized and populated geographies that are world's apart as far as prosperity and quality of life.

He had no response to the museums, musicians, actors, symphony orchestras, architecture, theaters, Emmys, Grammys, Oscars, landmarks, etc.

He's waived the white flag

And it goes totally unchallenged.

Indeed.

Median Family Income with Children Under 18 Years of Age, 2014:
San Francisco-Oakland Urban Area $100,842
Los Angeles City $45,096

If the SF Urban Area and LA City switched places, the LA Area would actually much better off, but the Bay Area would be much worse off.

Those wealth-x stats are for the entire Bay Area and not just San Francisco by the way. LA has an many rich people as the Bay but it has way more working class people. LA is sort of top heavy.

LAs in the most stimulating cities in the world

Los Angeles and New York City are in a constant battle over which can attract the world’s best artists. At the moment, it seems that LA is winning.

LA has slightly more than 56 art establishments for every 100,000 residents. Of course, LA also has a lot of tourism, which makes it possible for artists of all types of paintings, statues, performances, and other creative works to a larger audience.

The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) also plays an important part of stimulating the imaginations of artists in LA. It constantly features works from some of the most innovative living artists. Of course, art masters who have passed away also get a chance to display work posthumously.
