Sure Vegas has name appeal, but it carries no weight for a large city! Its just a big playground much like orlando!

We already know the big 3 (LA, SF, and Seattle), so Seattle is the 3rd city in the West. The 4th spot is a little more difficult to decide

All these cities can claim the Fourth spot after Seattle (no particular order).

Vegas - Entertainment Capital, Sin City
San Diego - Home of the Navy
Denver - Most well rounded city of the list IMO.
Sacramento - capital of the largest state of the Union
Portland - known for smart growth, most liberal of the bunch.
