In your opinion, which city is the most breathetaking in natural and man-made beauty: San Diego or San Francisco?

I'd say San Francisco definitely has the bigger "wow" factor. San Diego has the big edge for weather, but San Francisco is a beautiful city in a beautiful setting on the Bay surrounded by mountains. Not that SD doesn't have beautiful parts too. Torrey Pines State Park is a standout place just a few miles north of downtown San Diego.

I've been to both, and I think San Diego is actually more beautiful. I might be in the minority here, but I don't find San Francisco particularly charming at all, with the exception of the Golden Gate Bridge. San Diego is more of my kind of place.

Geographically, San Francisco, considering all the huge hills.
However, I certainly LOVE San Diego just as much.

I've never actually been to either, i've just seen pictures lol. Neither of their skylines impress me, as I am a big height fan. That said, San fran has the pyriamid building, and san diego has the building with the colored rings. I love palm trees and mountains so my vote has gotta go with San diego on the natural beauty.

San Francisco did it for me. From the natural beauty to the man made, San Fran is my choice.

San Francisco by far. San Francisco being on a peninsula really gives in the advantage (water views from almost any side of town).

San Diego is really pretty. However, you have to really live within a couple miles of the coast to have a nice view of the ocean.

San Fran for both man-made beauty and natural beauty. I think the only thing San Diego has on San Fran is beaches.

tough one. the SF architecture is great and its very urban & has Napa/Sonoma. but then again, SD has got the SoCal thing perfected and its proximity to TJ and the Baja.

both have great natural beauty.
