Those areas do not have the most blacks by percentage or number. Non of those places are even in LA County. Again, LA County has around 900,000 Blacks. Combined Inland Empire (San Bernardino-Riverside counties) is just under 400,000.

Ontario, Rancho Cucamunga, Rialo etc. are not bad places. They have amenities that some cities simply do not have and is more in line with mid-sized cities than larger ones.

The next black mecca is Augusta..

1. Growing medium size metro with more new jobs than most cities its size
2. Less traffic compared to larger metros
3. Cheaper place to live compared to bigger MSA's
4. Solid black middle class
5. Lots of government jobs coming to the metro

Augusta is doing well but it's not on its way to becoming the next Black mecca, especially being in the same state as Atlanta.

I also don't see mecca status in Augusta's future. It can still take pride in being a more charming city than Atlanta, though.

More charming than Atlanta? Savannah, absolutely. Augusta? Ummmm...lol. I do dig Augusta's downtown but "charm" isn't the first thing that comes to mind when I think of it, although I think its historic neighborhoods like Old Town are charming--as are Atlanta's.

Edit: We had this discussion before I believe.

Yes, we did, and I stand by my statements.

You seemed to have contradicted yourself in our earlier exchange, but it is what it is. It's not like I expect you to speak well of Atlanta anyway.

Sure you can. I have on several occasions. What you cannot expect is for me to feel the same way about Atlanta that you do. It just ain't my cup of tea.

Augusta does have the military presence with Fort Gordon, the multiple urban radio stations, an HBCU in Paine College and is growing, but I don't know about calling it the next "Black Mecca".

It's not worth rehashing.

That much is obvious but you "speak well" of it with caveats and your compliments are always backhanded.
