I think it speaks more about the specific area, but has aspects that occur in parts of other areas.
That was a good read. Although much of what was written in the article is true of other metro areas, it's probably the absolute worst in Milwaukee; it doesn't have a Dekalb or PG County or a Best Southwest as an option for Black professional families who desire to live in predominantly Black middle/upper middle class neighborhoods (although even those neighborhoods aren't free from problems), or even middle/upper middle class neighborhoods that have a fair degree of integration.

That is what I thought, but I also think that mainstream media may downplay legitimate options like Brown Deer. It is just north of Milwaukee and is about 30% Black, with some middle class neighborhoods with at least sizeable/quite visible Black percentages. I thought that the article would at least mention that.

Interesting. I just checked out Brown Deer's Wikipedia page and it mentioned that it was listed in CNNMoney's Best Places to Live ranking three years ago. It also stated that Brown Deer is just one of four Milwaukee suburbs with a Black population of at least 10%.

Wow....why are Miami, Cleveland, and Dallas so low? (I get Birmingham).
Also it looks as if DC and SF are the highest. So basically 1 in 7 black men in SF are making over 100K...I thought blacks in SF were supossed to be doing so poorly? Guess that just goes to show you can't believe everything you read.

Who said they were doing poorly?
As SF's Black population declines, its Black population as a whole becomes more affluent.
Miami is a poor city so that's not that surprising. Cleveland is still economically depressed. I was a bit surprised Dallas was so low.
