Midtown and Financial District has plenty of activities there after 10pm as well. As much as you would expect in places like that. Midtown especially has crap loads.

And if your trying to be a smartass then actually read the damn thing first. I never Midtown and Financial District are centers for nightlife in NYC. I just asked you to clarify what you were talking about in your post.

Im speaking in terms of the public education system, and not just NYC but both cities.

Im not talking about colleges or universities. Get that through your head.

You didnt ask for ****. You claimed I said Manhattan has no nightlife, which is as absurd as saying water isnt wet.

Midtown is largely a commercial area first and foremost. Most of the city's best nightlife is not found there, and if you think that is, then youre ****ing boring and a tourist.

Who the **** goes out for nightlife in the Financial District? You cannot be serious.

And your head seems pretty thick to get through the fact that NY metro is known for like the best places for colleges and universities after Boston. If your not comparing it to Chicago then what exactly are you comparing it to? Internationally? Firstly that's off topic and secondly where?

So no.

You're right that far more households in Chicago have cars, but it doesn't appear to be tied to more disposible income. It's probably just because Chicago is a much more car-friendly city.
Rent/mortgage is not even close to the same between Chicago and New York. Have you lived in either of those cities?

It's like someone is arguing Alaska is a "too small" state. That may be true or not, but it's the biggest state. What's the point of arguing it's too small?

You're arguing the best funded state in the richest major country in the world is underfunded. By your standards, there is no such thing as a non-underfunded educational system.

Education across the entire country is underfunded.

The best schools in NYC are private schools, and theyre only available for those that can afford it, which is exactly the direction this country is headed.

Richest major country? Please tell me youre not ignorant enough to suggest that the current condition of education in this country is not because of being underfunded?

The education standards in this country are very low in comparison with other countries, especially in major public school systems like NYC and Chicago. Suburban districts outperform city districts, and even theyre underfunded.

This thread has gone way off track. Time to put it out of its misery.
