The only thing that I am surprised about is how low the asian community is in Miami...although if one really thinks about it it isn't all too surpassing seeing as the city really is a hub for people from the Caribbean when it comes to immigration. I mean I knew the asian population would be low but not that low.
I don't see how it's surprising at all. It's not a gateway Asian city (SF/LA/NYC), nor nearby a gateway city (San Diego, Las Vegas and Philadelphia), nor a recognized center for higher education (Boston) and outside of tourists visiting for a weekend, it doesn't really have much to offer Asians (East/SE/South Asians in particular) or Asian Americans in the fields that they tend to specialize in. There is a reason cities like Houston and Atlanta have attracted both domestic and international migrants of all of backgrounds, and Miami is more of the getaway/resort for North-easterners, Europeans and both poor and rich Latin Americans.

Its not surprising at all. The Asian community in Miami is extremely insignificant given its size.
For North East:
The Avenues of San Francisco/ Daly City (Filipino exception).
Parts of Silicon Valley for wealthier Asian meccas, all the way down to San Jose.
Honolulu, for a Japanese presence stronger than Japantown, SF.
Koreatown, for the obvious.
For South East:
San Fernando Valley, (shoutout to Viets)

Any surprises here? Also, how well do you believe each of these metros perform in terms of having an Asian population that's well represented, educated, economically stable, powerful, etc.?
Been to 1 and have lived in 5.
From what I can see, the Queens presence of Asians in terms of density >>>. Lived in 14 and yeah, that makes sense. Surprised it's even that high to be honest. I knew way more Asians growing up in NY-NJ metro.

Yea Queens N.Y. has a pop of about 2.3 million and 25% of them are Asians which translates to appx 575,000 so I would say its definitely one of the Asian meccas in this country

And that's just East Asia--Southwest Asia (the Middle East) also has several white meccas, both in terms of actual race and the Western concept of "white".
