Any of these cities except Minneapolis. Life is too short to live in a place that is basically Alberta Canada.

All of their talent and good looking people move to elite coastal metros.

Milwaukee is way better than Minneapolis. Right on the lake, great beer culture, and residents don't think they are the SF of the midwest.

Personally, I think the scenery in San Jose is quite nice, along with the rest of the Bay Area in general. That's not to take away from whatever scenery Minneapolis has. Your post is somewhat ignorant though.

Kind of surprised by the poll. Maybe lots of biased people. In real life most people are telling me to go to CA. Texas, some people love it or hate it. Nobody has said anything good about the Midwest places, even people from there.

I prefer people voting that aren't super biased and have been to at least a few of these places. And thanks for the pictures posted above. San Jose is beautiful. Milwaukee has the lake Michigan lakefront which is also awesome. The Riverwalk in San Antonio is very happening. Can someone post photos of Minneapolis as it is winning and I want to see what the fuss is all about ? I stayed downtown when I was there. It was cool that they had all those sky bridges between buildings for the winter. Went to that park with the big cherry and spoon, really nice art. Also saw tbat waterfall. went to a really nice roof top bar there that was a lot of fun.

Unless you're job pays really well to offset the COL I wouldn't move to San Jose. It's a fine place and all but incredibly overpriced for being mostly boring generic suburbia.

This is a cool photo blog of the Uptown neighborhood which is only 3 miles from downtown Minneapolis.

My favorite of these is Milwaukee, but based on your criteria, it'd probably be San Jose for most categories.

San Antonio; love that region of the country for its geographic beauty, climate, and culture

I never implied San Jose is hideous. The Street View images you shared from the hills are pretty. The rest are just suburban neighborhoods, however. I guess I just don't consider suburbia "scenic".

Here's a very small collection of some of my own photos, all taken inside the city limits of Minneapolis. This is just a tiny fraction of the scenery you'll find in the city:
