Thanks for your feedback guys.. Yeah I thought that it would be okay to do world cities also too, but I suppose it's strictly North American, I don't know. I would have to agree with many of you, the most ideal in the US, would have to be LA. I'd say that the most ideal in the Eastern US would be Highlands, NC (and other mountain towns around there with 3,000 ft. or more in elevation). Mostly as a result of that, I'd say Atlanta has the best "large city" weather East of the Mississippi, because it's moderate for the most part year round, but when it isn't, you can drive an hour and it will be. I do like some variance and seasons too though, which is why this is so subjective.

Honolulu, Los Angeles and San Diego > everything.

Thankfully, I have family in all three.

So Arequipa is between 5 and 10 degrees warmer and also gets less than 1/4th the yearly rain as Arroyo Grande.

Not as different as even that. The microclimates vary greatly here, so you can purchase the Arequipa climate here by adjusting slightly exactly where you live.

Don't get me wrong, I love the central and SoCal coastal climates especially 10-15 miles eastward and it comes close. But not quite.

Though San Diego has excellent weather, it varies allot within only a few miles. For example, along the coast it could be cloudy and cool but some ten miles inland sunny and nearly hot. That is also true in many other coastal areas.

That is why I prefer El Paso's weather which is also low in humidity

San Francisco. I love fog and I hate too much heat.
