Gee what a surprise, there's nothing electric about Seattle, I doubt you've traveled much.
Your doubt is wrong. Did you even bother to read why I thought it was uniquely electric? Read the title: "Uniquely Electric" then perhaps you can understand my post better instead of hurling more California insults.
I've had the pleasure of visiting both Nawlins and Austin within the last 30 days. I had been in both many years ago, but was reminded of why I like them both.
Nawlins just has that energy of always going. Frenchmen St is always a blast. I personally usually avoid Bourbon.
Austin is really hip and I find it strange that an old guy like me would enjoy it so much. We spent some time on Congress St. Really cool shops and restaurants.
I think Tacoma qualifies. The city is starting to grow up and awaken. It's unlike any other city in Cascadia. The most diverse major city (of Cascadia), incredible art scene, artists are flocking here, lower cost of living, preservation/ adaptive reuse of buildings (unlike Seattle), many neighborhoods with their own unique vibe, as well as multiple major developments to accommodate growth. Truly an underrated masterpiece.
Here are a few images of downtown on this cool, partly cloudy cloudy day

I want to agree with you as I'm from Seattle, but I just don't. I worked in Tacoma for a while and mostly it just had a bad vibe in general. I just wasn't a fan. Plus, it used to smell really badly - Tacoma aroma! I've heard that has gotten better though. I always wanted to like it but just never could.

Tacoma a unique energy? Compared to a place like NYC, Miami or New Orleans yeah right.
This isn't towards you, but I think people are missing the point of the thread. Every city has a unique aspects in its energy, from Houston to Santa Barbara. The point of this thread is to hear what people think are the MOST unique cities in regards to energy.

Same can be said of Seattle as well, trust me Seattle is pretty bland and nothing "unique" about its vibe, these Seattle fanboys are becoming delusional.

Eh, I can see Seattle having it's own unique vibe, but I don't think it's that unique on a national scale/and doesn't stand out as much.
I agree with most of the OP's list, I must note that the two that stick out the most to me are NYC and Miami, there is a worldly vibrant feel about these cities that really cannot be found in any other American city, and I say that knowing that there are a lot of Miami-haters on these forums (I have never understood why)..
I totally agree. When I arrive to NYC, it just pure crazy energy, people everywhere. I will never forget it was 2am and I was walking through Times Square and people were everywhere with shops and restaurants still open. The number of people I saw on the streets is what you might see in downtown Chicago at 6pm. Unreal.
With Miami there is just something just so sexy in the air about it. It has this flavor to it of exoticness, kind of like an Ibiza (not exact) or a Rio de Janiero. It's just a place that has this exoticness in the air and gives such a sexy energy.

I agree with you.
