Considering basic factors, like affordability, traffic, etc, as well as political progressiveness and especially working in the film/entertainment industry, which one might be the better city?
Atlanta has a much better entertainment industry. It's more affordable. Even though the traffic is bad there, there is a really good public transit system compared to most Sun Belt cities. While Austin is very progressive, Atlanta is no conservative haven whatsoever.

If you read closely, their writing and editing is atrocious and much of the information is incorrect and outdated.
The GO TO source for TV industry news in Atlanta is Rodney Ho's blog in the AJC:
The count of active or upcoming TV series and TV movie productions in metro Atlanta is 70 as of July 6, 2016.
