Is this for city proper? Gary is notorious for being run down and crime infested, so I am going to assume Memphis is better there. Memphis city proper is also about 25% denser than Gary.

Memphis is the core city of a region ally important metro while Gary has devolved into an impoverished suburb of Chicago, second in population in Lake County, if I remember correctly. I would be very surprised if Gary has more desirable activities to do, within city limits, and was more vibrant than Memphis.

Maybe Gary can win in Scenery. People always talk about how beautiful the Great Lakes are and Gary is right on the shore of Lake Michigan. Not to knock on the scenery of Memphis.

I prefer Memphis because I dont like a cold northern climate.

Not a good comparison.

Wondering why you're comparing a city of 80,000 to a city of 650,000? That's just weird, in my book.

Gary overall isn't that nice of a place, but it is on the shores of Lake Michigan and a fairly short commute to and from DT Chicago. Independent of those things Memphis is superior in most categories. Maybe not scenery.

It's a troll post. Either that, or it is the rare post which intends to put Memphis in a positive light.

It's a troll post, and quite possibly race-baiting.

Gary wins for me due to its proximity to Chicago.
