Miami and SF Bay area are foreign born/immigrant magnets, but neither see the balance from continent to continent that DC does while still keeping high totals of immigrants overall.

As for your other comment, yes there are some wealthier immigrants from Mexico in NYC, but the vast majority are working class.
I only go by stats. If stats tell us that NYC has a Mexican community and less illegal immigrants then the others I named (which it does), then I believe it.

The NYC Metro area has 650k Mexicans, but that total Mexicans. Not foreign born Mexicans. There are roughly 300k foreign born Mexicans in the NYC area.

But nothing I posted contradicts that. NYC doesn't get near the number of Mexicans immigrants that the big 4 (LA, Houston, Chicago, and Dallas) get.

Toronto, NYC, and London all have high populations of West Indians and South Asians, NYC having more Hispanics and London/Toronto having more Africans. The majority of NYC though, unlike the other two, are mostly minorities.

I thought London and Toronto were minority majority cities? Maybe metros is different.
EDIT:
London is 60% White.
Toronto is 50% White.
NYC is also 50% White.
Take in mind non of these separate Jewish populations, so if you are talking strictly WASP, then Toronto and NYC are in the high 40's.

So for that I think NYC probably holds the title for most diverse city in the world

I'm not saying we should go by anything besides stats, I'm just saying that NYC has a big Mexican population.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demogr...k_City#Mexican

There were over 450k people of Mexican descent in NYC proper as of the 2010 census, that's probably number 5 or 6 so by raw number out of US cities.

NYC is 33% non-Hispanic White.

But no one is disputing the NYC has a large Mexican population. But it needs to be put in proportion. For example, the numbers I posted in the beginning are exact. They are not under counted because the government keeps close tabs on the number of legal immigrants they allow in.

For illegal immigrants from Mexico by metro area, the estimated numbers are below. All over 100k are listed. I include the entire NYC CSA for you so you can get a scope:

LA: 850k
Chicago: 337k
Dallas: 329k
Houston: 301k
San Francisco Bay Area: 272K
Riverside, CA: 238k
NYC CSA: 184k
San Diego: 174K
Phoenix: 163k
Rio Grande Valley: 149k
Fresno: 122k
Atlanta: 117k

For the foreign born population of Mexicans by Metro Area (top 10 listed):

Los Angeles: 1,735,000
Chicago: 669,000
Houston: 606,000
Dallas: 604,000
San Francisco Bay Area (CSA): 584,000
Riverside: 562,000
New York (CSA): 346,000
San Diego: 337,000
Phoenix: 334,000
Rio Grande Valley: 313,000

For total Mexican Population (regardless of legality or where they were born) as of 2015. This will all be by CSA not MSA:

Los Angeles/Riverside: 8,617,167
Houston: 1,909,590
Dallas: 1,753,202
San Francisco Bay Area: 1,728,933
Chicago: 1,692,579
Rio Grande Valley: 1,217,749
San Antonio: 1,162,982
Phoenix: 1,162,465
San Diego: 994,976
New York: 690,027
El Paso: 681,489
Denver: 603,805

I think these numbers are pretty on the nose for Mexican demographics in the US.
