The 15 cities where you can live really well on $60,000

I know these lists can be kind of random, but good list imo.

The list has all the usual suspects. Of the list, I'd probably pick Columbus. Atlanta is tempting to choose but I know the city too well and am positive that the $60K salary would not let me live where I'd want to live and I have no interest in dealing with far flung suburban traffic.

Columbus would be likely for me as well. Cleveland picture looked pretty lively though.

Upon further review, it would be Columbus or Pittsburgh.

I have lived on less in Chamblee. Will you be able to live in the middle of Midtown? No. But you won't be relegated to the suburbs.

I'm waiting on the predictable, 'Pshaw, I wouldn't live in Birmingham or Detroit. What hellholes' kind of post, based on something they read 20 years ago or had a ten minute drive through on the Interstate. I've spent considerable time in almost all the cities on this list and, without exception, all of them are quite livable, enjoyable places with great amenities, restaurants, and entertainment.

No surprise it's all Midwestern, Rust Belt, and Southern cities.

Basically and they could have extended this to 20 cities to include Nashville, Grand Rapids, Rochester, New Orleans and Charlotte in terms of metros with at least 1 million people.

Nashville is quickly getting too expensive.
