I get the reasons people might say Hawaii, but I can think of many states that dont have any cities as vibrant and agitated as Honolulu.

In my experience, Hawaii is the most laid-back state in the country. I think the very remote, sparsely populated states of Wyoming and Montana place second and third, respectively.

Laid-back state....

New Mexico ....very very laid-back, nobody in hurry to work hard there,lol.

Colorado.....Rocky Mountain high ....need I say more

And of course....Hawaii.

This is generally how I pictured Honolulu---congested, expensive, and stressful as a result. Judging by this poll I suppose Hawaii is neither congested nor expensive, though.

Most stressed: The south with Alabama being the most stressed out
