Wow. Kudos to Minneapolis. Categorical winner here. It's almost astonishing how far ahead of the pack it is. Keep doing what you're doing!

Yes incredible, winning a useless internet poll with a sample size of about 100 people and based their unsubstantiated opinions. Really means something wow.

Well, it's also been growing at a decent clip, and more urban than the other real growing cities. That's a lot of people voting with their feet. (I don't know the recent growth rates, but that's my impression.)

And Austin, Texas is growing faster than New York City, it means absolutely nothing.

It's not the whole story, but it's a major data point.

As for NYC, it's growing very impressively given the price of building anything and the prices in high-desire areas. Growth measured along with price (and any number of other factors) gets more interesting.

Good joke. Let's go for a stroll around Jordan at night. Don't get me wrong, I love living in Minneapolis, but let's not pretend like it doesn't have problems.

Minneapolis/St Paul is a fine city/metro.

But we all know that 99% of those that voted for it would never live there because of the harsh, never-ending winters.

and the vast majority of people who currently live in Minneapolis - St. Paul would rather deal with 2 months of harsh, winter weather than live in dying or stagnant, Midwest cities.

Even Chicago is a stagnant Midwest city right now. But that rarely if at all changes the lifestyle of most of the people that enjoy living, working, and playing there. Living in a booming metro area is nice, but if you already have a good career and life how is that effecting your lifestyle one way or the other? Alot of people don't even want their city to get too much bigger.

Minneapolis has gotten really arrogant in recent years. If you're gonna be a pretentious city, at least don't be in Minnesota.
