I don't mean an Atlanta Mt. Rushmore. I'm talking about a Greatest of All Time Mt. Rushmore. I think it would be debatable whether Jay-Z would even be on it, so that automatically excludes all of the artists from Atlanta.

Big and Pac would be the only two for sure "locks." Even 65-year olds at the White House Correspondents' Dinner knew who they were when Obama made a joke about them. I guess you'd have to throw Jay-Z into that third slot because there's really no icon bigger than him. Would the final slot go to someone from Atlanta? Or would it go to Rakim, Eazy-E, Nas, Kanye, Scarface, Snoop, Slick Rick, etc.?

Outkast, the greatest 2 MC Hip Hop group in the history of the game, but groups are usually not considered when coming to Mt Rushmore. Andre 3000 even though a Top 10 all-time MC is disqualified from Mt Rushmore because he never dropped a solo album project.

Ludacris and T.I. both get a few votes but that's as close as it gets for Atlanta.

NYC: Jay-z and Nas is on Mt. Rushmore end of story no debate will be tolerated. We're also not going to include the "Godfathers" like Rakim, KRS-ONE, Slick Rick and Kool G Rap.

Biggie?? Yes for alot people but some say his discography was limited

Outside of NYC and Atlanta: Tupac, end of story and no debate will be tolerated. Ice Cube, close call. Scarface, close call. Kanye West, very close call. Eminem, woah....

So for solo acts you can go with Jay-Z, Nas, Tupac, Biggie. Or Jay-Z, Nas, Tupac, Eminem. I personally lean towards having Biggie on the list

Nationally - YES
Internationally - NO, NYC/East Coast still run it but that can change in the future

He's definitely on. He's the most mythologized/legendary artist of all time along with Tupac Shakur and they have both been the subject of movies, documentaries, articles, etc. Biggie is also probably the most quoted rapper of all time.

I'm with you but just to take an objective stance many say his status as one of the all time greats was partly due to his link to Tupac and his untimely early demise. Do you think that's a fair critique? (taking nothing from his skills/discography)

I think we need to put aside the why he is famous. The same could be said for Tupac. In terms of global recognition, they are 2 of the 3 most famous rap artists to ever live.
