These are facts, as they have both already happened. ATL took hip-hop from NYC almost 2 decades ago. Everyone knows that.

Facts can usually be sourced. Atlanta hasn't generated nearly as many rappers as NYC though it's generated more over the last decade. NYC had a 30 year head start on Atlanta with a population that's nearly as large as the entire state of Georgia. Not to mention the fact, as we discussed already, that people don't really make rap videos in neighborhoods anymore.

Just looking at Future's Vevo page, has he made one video in the city of Atlanta? He might have more videos with Los Angeles in the background than he does Atlanta. Jay-Z seems to do a lot of his videos in the Boroughs even now.

Your radio is your source. As small as Atlanta is compared to NYC (roughly 1/20 its size), Atlanta shellacs NYC even with NYC's 30 year head start. Bringing up NYC's headstart actually makes it worse. Rap video locations mean absolutely nothing in this context, although, your assertion was proven false. ATL owns hip-hop.

Even now? The video you posted is from 2003, nearly a decade and a half ago.

What does radio have to do with videos? I don't know if you remember, but you made a claim a couple of posts back that the number of videos featuring Atlanta's skyline would triple the number featuring NYC's skyline.

Uh huh.

Except for vast media exposure. More people have seen Alicia Keys' and Jay-Z's "Empire State of Mind" video than any Future or T.I. video.

That's exactly what I said, but we're not on that topic anymore. Music video location have nothing to do with what I'm talking about. See, you're stuck in the past, just like NYC.

See what I mean. You're talking about a video from 2009. LOL. Who knew who Future was back in 2009?

Rap, yes but it's not the same quality, originality or even "hip hop".

Hollywood, no. Studios all over the US and Canada.

Hip-hop?! Absolutely not.

Pop-hop? Yeah that's Atlanta all day.
Not to bash Atlanta but it's not the center of hip-hop.
