Technically T-Pain is a singer.
Lil Jon's music is workout motivation

Meanwhile, while they were prominent in hip-hop, NYC had Mims. Remember him??

Nope

I remember Mystical, don't know where he's from but I know he sucked.

I know Fabolous was from New York and I didn't hate him. But I like Ludacris and he's from Atlanta.

Of course not. Why would they want to be a Atlanta version of another rapper??

Atlanta has their own very successful acts.

Man, you're really not into hip-hop. Lil Jon wasn't a rapper, he was more like a hype man who specialized in hooks. Crunk music was his specialty and that's what made him a legend down south. Granted, he did get overexposed when he went mainstream but he wasn't a rapper. Plus, no artist has the ability to kill a genre.
