And all that's gotten him is a net worth of $25 million, which is only a third of what Nicki Minaj is working with.

There's a difference between being famous and "Black famous," bruh.

That's why I said that you can't correlate wealth with fame. Ludacris being in the Fast and furious will expose him to a lot of people who don't even know who Jay-z is. Will Smith, who's one of the biggest movie stars ever, is worth less than a third of what Jay-z is worth.

You can correlate them; it's just not a perfect 1:1 correlation.

You can't correlate them. Prime example, Dr. Dre hasn't released an album since 2000 (not counting that album that came out last year), yet he's always been in the top 3 wealthiest rappers. How many people today know about Dr. Dre the rapper? Jay-z, Dr Dre, and Puff are businessmen. On the flip side, 2pac is more famous than Jay-z, yet he died almost broke.

Also, some of the people who we assume are world famous, actually aren't. There are people who don't know who Beyonce' is. She rehearsed with some African choreographers (can't remember the video), and they asked her who she was. At my last job there people from who didn't know who Prince (Mexican woman) and Elvis (Indian Woman) were. There were people who didn't know who Michael Jordan (Sri Lankan man) was. The only person who EVERYONE knows no matter where they're from on planet Earth is Michael Jackson.

A LOT of people know about Dr. Dre the rapper. A similar question was asked on Rap Genius, only it was about artists as opposed to an entire city's hip hop scene.

You would think at least one person from Atlanta would be mentioned. Dr. Dre is mentioned multiple times.

Welp, that does it. You have a knack for trying to invalidate general statements of fact with very personalized anecdotes. Are there people who have never heard of Beyonce? Sure. But that's not really the point, is it? Beyonce has one of the highest Q scores in America--more consumers are familiar with her than they are with Taylor Swift, which says a lot.

Celebrity 100 according to E-Score. Granted, this is a 2007 article, but I can guarantee you no one from Atlanta would be in the Top 10 today.

And yet, you post a link of everyday Americans to prove your point.

Taylor Swift has sold more albums than Beyonce'

More Views on Youtube than Beyonce

Taylor Swift is also Wealthier than Beyonce'

Your links don't trump facts.
