Why would you leave out Macon-Warner Robins or Chattanooga when you got Cinncinatti for KY?

Without ATL, Georiga is a distant last.

I'd prefer South Carolina probably, for the history, historic metros, beach, and upstate cute hills. 2nd is Kentucky, for the scenery (beautiful state), and its metros Louisville and south side Cinci have a little bit of Midwest feel which adds something interesting to the state that the others don't have.

You forgot about the SC portion of the Charlotte MSA which has 369K people. And the Myrtle Beach metro is partially in NC.

I wouldn't say distant last, because GA still has the best mountain scenery out of this group.

Kentucky might have something to say about that.

True, but Macon is one of the few places where the CSA is more telling of the true size than the MSA. In most places the CSA stretches out and includes areas that dont truly really feel part of the area. For some reason, Macon and Warner Robins have their own MSAs, so the 2 locations you see below are "technically" not in the same MSA even though they're 1.4 miles apart, pretty silly right

1. SC
2a. Georgia (w/o ATL)
2b. Alabama
4. Kentucky
