Basically those regions:

In terms of:

Affordability
Urbanity
Weather
Education (K-12)
Education (Higher education)
Social scene (ease of networking/making friends, etc)
Outdoor activities (Surfing/Skiing/Hiking/Rock climbing/etc)
Food
Dining scene (ethic foods/etc)
Music/art scene (concerts/museums)
Nightlife (bars/clubs/taverns/dancing and music venues)
Arctitecture
Public transit
Job opportunities
Vibrancy
Shopping
Diversity

Feel free to note any additional pros and cons of your choice and including nearby states (like Virginia/Maryland to northeastern area is alright too since they're very close/etc).

Which area would you live in permanently? if money was a no issue, would you still pick the same region?

I love the Midwest.

Affordability of St Louis provides a lot of city for the money. I also love big busling Chicago. The down to earth people makes the area very homey.

If money was not an issue, I would try San Francisco. It is a totally different experience.

the NE is at a little bit of a dis advantage in this poll as it is the smallest region of the four and doesn't offer as many options. The 4 larger regions should be divided

Since we're foolishly counting Maryland and Delaware as the south (stop please stop this nonsense). I'll go with it.
