Vegas purely since I've never been there. Also might actually have a slim chance of losing my virginity.

I personally have flown round-trip between L.A. and the Southeast for about $300, but it does require research and planning.

Also, there's a surprising amount of business and tourism traffic between L.A. and Nashville, so the OP might be surprised about being able to fly to L.A. at a likely comparable rate to flying to, say, Miami.
The lowest it gets on American's & Delta's nonstops from Nashville is $348.40, and those are their new basic economy fares with no changes, refunds or advance seat assignments. Southwest is quoting $349.95 on their nonstops. This is for a long weekend a couple of Months out.

I'm 6'2, so I'd rather be shipped in a crate than Fly Frontier or Spirit. They both suck very badly in other ways as well, in my opinion.

My birthday is mid-April, so Washington DC. It's slightly past when peak cherry blossom time is, but still quite a lovely time of year there.

But I don't think that's what the OP is going for, so I'd say Las Vegas is probably your best bet

Not exactly birthday-ish, IMO. Don't get me wrong, I love DC, have been there many times. (My BFF lives in the area.)

I had to vote "other." New Orleans would be my first choice But I'm a family man now, so.....maybe Ocean City, Maryland.

( I must say in Dallas all activities had to be driven too where else in New Orleans you could park the car one time and be in the middle of everything, would prefer a place where everything is concentrated like New Orleans)
Vegas to all of this (minus museums). Although Vegas does have some nice museums, I wouldn't rank it #1 from these other cities museums at all.
But Vegas wins #1 in everything else. You will have such a blast! I've been to Vegas twice already but I still haven't been for my birthday yet. It's on my bucket list for sure.

Vegas (the strip) is a non-stop party. You will meet a ton of new people from all over the world that will become your new friends for the night (then you'll probably never see them again though). But what makes Vegas so fun is that everyone is there to get away, have fun, and enjoy themselves. A lot of people there will be there for some sort of special celebration as well. The atmosphere in Vegas is unlike anything else. And since you're birthday is in Summer, you will get to go to pool parties!!

Pool party in the day ---> nightclub at night.

If your birthday is in late December or in January, bring a winter coat along with you if you're going to celebrate in Las Vegas. Factor in windchill and Brrrrrr!

Since you're a tourist (and not a traveler), I'd recommend going to each individual CD forum for these cities and ask the locals. You should've done that for Dallas to save you the headache of driving to each individual activity... the locals know best and they can tell you how to explore their city the "right" way. Los Angeles will have the same challenges as Dallas, if not worse. If you go in there blind, you won't have fun. So ask the LA natives on their forum on how to explore their city.
