Yes, because only people who think like you and do as you do should be the only ones welcome here...

I'd prefer we get rid of mindless flag wavers

Yeah, it seems everyone thinks that Atlanta is just a bigger version of Gary or Youngstown. [/sarcasm]
I specifically said "winning" and its not....and against a city half its size MSA that doesn't even spread out as much, as I said previously amongst cities below its tier. Atlanta not being an easy sell isn't new, I never understandwhy people act surprised. Do you ever think perhaps the city has a marketing problem or it's just not as popular besides cost of living?

GaWC - The World According to GaWC 2012

Translating that ranking into numbered tiers, we have

TIER 1
Alpha++:
- New York
Alpha+:
- none
Alpha:
- Chicago
- Los Angeles
Alpha-:
- Washington
- San Francisco
- Miami

TIER 2
Beta+:
- Boston
- Atlanta
- Dallas
- Houston
Beta:
- Philadelphia
Beta-:
- Minneapolis
- Denver
- Seattle
- St. Louis
- San Diego

TIER 3
Gamma+:
- Cleveland
- Detroit
- San Jose
Gamma:
- Phoenix
- Austin
- Cincinnati
- Kansas City
- Tampa
Gamma-:
- Charlotte
- Baltimore
- Raleigh
- Orlando
- Columbus
- Pittsburgh
I already brought that up. But it seems that GaWC is pretty biased and kind of was debunked.

GAWC is heavily debunked....not for what it actually counts, but for what people think it counts.

People seem to think it ranks cities by importance or something. All it does is count the presence of certain companies in a few service industries.

Tier 1 cities are grouped and classified as "Gateway Cities" which is defined by a select group of international cities. In the U.S, those include:

New York
Washington D.C.
Boston
Chicago
San Francisco
Los Angeles

https://www.cbre.com/research-and-re...gateway-cities

A city can't be considered Tier 1 internationally unless they're considered a Gateway City.

"From a real estate perspective, global gateway cities offer many benefits. Their attractiveness to people and businesses means that space demand in their commercial real estate markets increases steadily over the long term, underpinning rent growth. These cities are also highly liquid markets, where real estate investments can be readily bought and sold."

Does only CBRE make that decision? This is a brokerage firm BTW.

Once again, as a commercial real estate guy that works with CBRE, I find your faith amusing.

So I take it you've never actually been to San Diego. If you think the bolded is even remotely true, you haven't - or you're lying again to further your anti-Atlanta agenda.

And yet more Ebck120 style 'Fake News.' More than 2 million people have moved here since the 90's, including over 90,000 in the last year alone. Atlanta knows how to market itself quite well, and always has. This is practically an industry here.

The only thing here not being an easy sell is yet another of your passive/aggressive back-handed insults of the place.
