I can still get outside in Dallas before noon-time or after 5 PM and manage fine during the summers. Nighttime may still be hot, but at least the sun is down. During the hottest part of the day, people are either in a pool or out on a lake. Good luck trying any of that during a Chicago winter. There's no warm part of the day that's pleasant enough to hang out at a park for more than 30 minutes. And nighttime is even worse!
One difference is that the summers in Dallas offer no relief from the heat. It's constantly 90+ for months with no break. In Chicago, there are times when it warms to the 50s in the winter so you get a break occasionally. Sometimes it can even get into the 60s in winter.

Nope, there are quite a few summer days of rain/cloud in Dallas where afternoon temps are held down to 80s, even 70s.
91 without sun isn’t a big deal, is it? There’s nothing a 91 nighttime temp would hold me back from, this is the reason we have lights for hiking, biking in the summer months. One of the best ways to see the trails and mountain preserves here in Phoenix from a whole different perspective.

I think 91 with 20% humidity is different than 90 with 60% humidity. I like the desert night.

So I posted earlier last night that it was still 90+ at like 9 pm in Dallas. It is currently 9:47 and the heat index is already 91. Yes, it can get hot in Denver, but right now it is 63 degrees. It's an all day hot in parts of Texas.

I’m gonna be honest, August (during the peak of the heat) the feels like temp can be damn near 100 degrees at 10 pm. That’s mostly due to the urban heat island affect. Mind you, these temps are above normal for early June. The average high is 91 degrees.
