This feels like one of those obvious set up questions posted by one of those insecure Canadians.
Yes, because people who live in one of the world's most livable city (at least according to the think-tanks that research these things) must be itching to stroke their ego by comparing their city to Tijuana. Very logical.
One thing I will say - even thought B'ham is a cool town, I wish Seattle was as close to Vancouver as SD is to Tijuana. The metro Seattle and Vancouver would form would be pretty kick a$$.
Anyone else vote for Tijuana, well, just because why the heck not?
Tijuana for weather also (on avg) possibly food too. I have heard it's safer and more visitor friendly than in decades past, so props for that.
I have to imagine cheap beachside rentals, combined with Valle de Guadalupe wine tours do make a fun weekend.

I voted for TJ because at least it's interesting. Vancouver is the most plastic, soulless place I have ever been. It doesn't even have the twee self-righteousness of the American PacNW, just as bland a place as it gets. It's like a computer algorithm of DINK-Disneyland.
Which west coast border city is better in your opinion overall (infrastructure, architecture, nature, etc) Vancouver (Canada by Washington) or Tijuana (socal)?
lets like comparing apples with oranges or black and white

Nah man, apples and oranges are pretty comparable. This is more like... apples and dog turds.
