Both Broward and Orange Counties are adjacent to major cities while Palm Beach and San Diego Counties are part of the overall megaregion but have more of an identity of their own, especially San Diego. I thought that PB County was to Miami as Riverside/San Bernardino Counties are to LA, but having visited there, I found out that wasn't really true. Anyway, I know that OC/SD combined are about the size of South Florida population wise, but I think they are worth comparing due to them being major sunbelt destinations:

Beaches - BC/PB

Culture - BC/PB

Scenery - OC/SD

Economy - OC/SD

Education - OC/SD

Climate - OC/SD for summer; BC/PB in the winter

Amenities - Tie

Transportation - OC/SD

Dining - OC/SD

Housing - BC/PB

People - OC/SD

Lifestyle - BC/PB

Urbanity - OC/SD

Sports - OC/SD
