I am not.

The DFW region's is dependent on other cities such as Houston for its survival. Houston is not dependent on DFW for anything.

Without trade from Port of Houston, Los Angeles and Long Beach DFW would not have developed into a gigantic logistics Hub.

Houston's massive port and energy industry make it more important than DFW. Houston's continued resilience even amidst years of less than normal economic out put in the energy field shows that it has matured greatly and has a promising future

Plus Dallas has the Cowboys. That knocks it down several pegs.

Agree 100% with this. Houston has a larger, more international, and more independent economy than Dallas does, despite a smaller population. The fact its still growing in leaps and bounds through an oil bust speaks to the economic resilience there. I'm actually surprised Dallas got as many votes as it did over Houston and Atlanta.

This makes little sense. Houston has to have places to ship the goods to that come through the port, and the energy industry centered in Houston isn't just for Houston.

A lot of things in your post are shortsighted and not exactly accurate. The DFW region turned into a major logistic hubs due to its more centralized location, being a major rail and airline line hub, and because of the creation of the Alliance corridor, which is virtually a inland seaport. Just a little history on Fort Worth Alliance Airport (AFW) is the world's first 100% industrial airport designed for cargo and corporate aviation. Just a little history on Tower 55 in Fort Worth it is one of the nation’s busiest and most congested rail intersections. Located just south of downtown Fort Worth, Texas, Tower 55 holds vital national and international significance, connecting freight and passenger travel between the West Coast, Southeast, Midwest, Gulf Coast, Mexico and Canada.

On the topic of ports, it's no different with Houston. They are both "dependent" on other cities for survival because being a transportation hub is essential to DFW as a logistic hub and Houston as a port.

Yeah... I get that. Pretty sure I'm more grounded in what the Dallas Cowboys were known as more than many on this board. It was more a throw away line and the rolleyes was directed more at the anti-Cowboy post.

Fort Worth has nothing to do with this.
