Never been a major fan of either.. A majority of my time in Indianapolis has been passing through going to Chicago over the years but it seems much more progressive than Birmingham in my opinion, have been to a few places around the city. As far as Birmingham is concerned, I have never cared for it, feels like I'm stepping back in Time when I'm there for some reason. Idk, has a feeling of depression In a lot of areas but has some nice parts as well. Indy has a major edge over B,ham for me...

Im from Alabama originally, so know a good bit about Birmingham. Indianapolis wins hands down. Terrain-wise, Birmingham is pretty and that's it. You can stop there...

Strange comparison, but I'd give the nod to Indy because I love the midwest.

Birmingham is old South, and Indianapolis (generally speaking) is the better metropolis.

Indy takes this one pretty easily for me. Its downtown is way too sterile and ordinary in character but besides that it wins over Bham in a big way. I do like Bham for what it is though, this is just an unfair comparison between two different sized metros.

I'm going to interpret this as which city would you choose to live in and it is Birmingham all the way. Topography/scenery and climate are very important to me. The food scene looks great and downtown is impressive to someone from a little city. I see lots of storefronts that are beginning to fill up with restaurants and retail.

An added bonus is it has no connection to Mike Pence and Doug Jones would be my senator.

The only real advantage I can see for Birmingham would be it has more natural beauty.

I agree with the above statement. Birmingham has more going for it today than in days past, as Atlanta and Nashville keep getting more expensive. However, Indianapolis has a tier up on Birmingham in almost every category.
