No. There are plenty of places up and down Collins ave in Dade. Plenty of places in Broward. Plenty of places south of Downtown Miami including Coconut Grove. There is nothing in the DC area like South Beach as it is. We are also staying in the metro area. Baltimore and Annapolis should not count here as they are not in DC metro.
So, what visitor to South Beach is going to those places? I guess that’s the point. People are going to stay in a small area regardless of the city. If things aren’t close, they aren’t going to experience them.

I’m not arguing that. I’m arguing your position that South Beach is the only one exciting area in the Miami area.

I didn’t say it’s the only exciting place in Miami. My original post said it’s the only vibrant place in comparison to DC in Miami. My entire post referred to vibrancy. What other places are vibrant all the time in Miami?

Brickell area Miami is vibrant and Wynwood area on weekends
Been there, Brickell and Wynwood are not vibrant like South Beach.
While DC is more urban and walkable than Miami's city limits the city didn't seem all that vibrant outside of the daytime hotspots. I've been to both DC and Miami more than any other eaatcoast cities. Ustreet seemed very sleepy and dead. Comparatively, wynwood little Haiti, brickell, little Havana, coconut grove, Coral gables, are all areas in Miami with their own vibe and they didn't seem any less vibrant than what I've seen in DC. DC seemed to have hotspots where pedestrian traffic is stronger than others, but they were just hotspots as opposed to the whole city being 24/7 vibrant. Nothing in DC seemed more vibrant than SoBe.
